Bravely we hope against all hope.
Name: Echomist
Age: 19 Moons
Clan: MarshClan
Rank: Warrior
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Eye color: Pale Blue
Fur color: Silver tabby
Gender: She-cat
Appearance:
Echomist is a small, silver tabby. Her fur is silver like moonlight and has stripes on her pelt that are a light gray. Her legs are long and slender, but firm with muscle. Her eyes are striking, as they are the color of the Fiji oceans. These eyes are always warm and welcoming and full of love. Her paws are small, so she doesn't often stumble, and her tail is as fluffy and furry as the rest of her body. Her fur all together is soft to the touch and always well groomed. It seems to shine in the sun with beauty.
There is so much at stake.

Personality: Echomist is a very respectable she-cat. She cares for the clan like they are her kits, hunting for them and protecting them from harm. She loves to play with the kits and she will often be found in the nursery helping look after the kits. She is a playful she-cat, always playing harmless tricks on the warriors and playing games with the kits. She loves the kits and dreams of having her own one day. She wants to have kits with Eagletalon, she admires his strength and his good looks. But she is unusually shy around him, always afraid she'll say or do something stupid and embarrass herself. She will sometimes bring him a gift, including but not limited to freshly killed prey, fresh bedding, and sometimes even bird feathers for his nest.
Seems our freedom's up against the ropes.

Moonfur - Mother - Deceased

History: Echomist was born in the MarshClan camp to a she-cat named Moonfur. She wasn't liked in the clan because she was a liar and a suspected traitor. Echomist never liked her mother to begin with, especially one night when the black she-cat took Echokit to SunClan territory. She told Stonestar that she had found the kit just inside his boarder and came to his camp thinking it was their kit. She had been careful to lick the MarshClan scent off of little Echokit. Stonestar replied, saying that Echokit didn't belong to SunClan, but decided to take her in anyway. When the she-cat woke up in the SunClan camp, she was terrified and dashed for the entrance to the camp only be scooped up by Stonestar himself. He put back down in front of the nursery and explained to her where she was. "Bu-But I was born in MarshClan! Right inside the nursery! My mother is Moonfur!" She squeaked. "Why am I here!?" She mewled with fright. She noticed a flare of anger in Stonestar's eyes. "So she lied..." He mumbled to himself. He looked at Echokit and bent his head to give her a comforting lick between the ears. "No worries, little one. We shall return you to your clan, but first rest. You seem tired." He mewed gently and nudged her into the nursery.
She stared at the other two queens as one reached over to her and pulled her gently into her nest. Echokit smelled milk, but didn't dare drink any despite her growing hunger. "All is well, little one. You may nurse next to my two kits." The queen's voice was soft and reassuring and Echokit latched herself onto the queen and filled her belly with milk. It was dawn the next morning that Stonestar entered the nursery and licked Echokit's head. He jerked his head toward the entrance to the nursery and Echokit followed him out. When she stepped into the clearing, she saw Stonestar sitting there with his tail wrapped neatly around his massive paws. She blinked at how big he looked. He was massive! "Did you enjoy your sleep, sweetie?" He asked softly, his eyes warm and gentle. She nodded hesitantly. "Well, today I'll escort you with a few of my warriors to the MarshClan camp at sunhigh." He promised. "But first, I must eat and pick my warriors and wait for the camp to swing into action for the day. Why don't you go back into the nursery and rest a little longer, dear?" He suggested. Again, Echokit nodded and stumbled back into the nursery. She suckled for awhile before drifting into sleep...
She woke and found herself bouncing lightly, her scruff stiff with something holding onto it. She remembered the last time someone had held her there. Moonfur taking her from her family and friends. She thrashed wildly, wailing with panic. Stonestar almost dropped the kit, but managed to put her down. As soon as she touched the ground, Echokit bolted. Stonestar leaped ahead of her, spinning in midair and stopping her in her tracks. "It's okay, little one. We are only taking you home. See?" He gestured to the sky, and Echokit looked at the sun at its highest point. Her racing heart slowed as Stonestar slowly picked her back up. She glanced to see four warriors around her, two on each side of Stonestar. She felt safe with Stonestar, but was uncertain about the other four toms, each almost as big as the tom carrying her. Soon, they reached the marshes and excitement swelled in Echokit. She was going home! Stonestar flicked his tail, signaling to his warriors to start scenting for the camp as they padded deeper into MarshClan territory.
Before they could even get close to the camp, they were stopped by a patrol led by Redclaw, Echokit's father. She bounced in Stonestar's grip with joy, causing him to nearly drop her. Redclaw bristled instantly, seeing his daughter in the jaws of another clan, and a leader at that! He charged at Stonestar, eyes flashing dangerously. "Why do you have my daughter!?" He demanded with a snarl. Stonestar glanced to the first warrior on his left, nodding his head slightly. The warrior nodded back, understanding Stonestar's silent command. "Yesterday at sunhigh a black she-cat came to our camp telling us that this kit was found just inside our boarders. She asked if the kit belonged to us and when we told her that she didn't, the black female figured it belonged to a loner or rogue. So we took her in. Last night, the kit-" Redclaw interrupted. "She isn't 'the kit'! Her name is Echokit and she is my daughter!" The warrior didn't flinch, but went on explaining. "Alright then, last night Echokit bolted out of the nursery and charged the camp entrance. Stonestar didn't want her to go out into the forest and Echokit demanded to know where her mother was. Stonestar realized she was talking about a she-cat named Moonfur, the same cat who had given the kit... er... Echokit, to us." Stonestar nodded his approval at his warrior and turned his attention backed to a shocked Redclaw. He shook himself out of it.
"How do I know your telling the truth! How do I know you aren't stealing her!" Redclaw's words stung Stonestar. He handed Echokit carefully to the warrior on his left. "We have no reason to take your daughter. We are returning her home safe and sound. Here she is." He nodded to the warrior and watched as he gently deposited Echokit on the ground in front of Redclaw. As one, the SunClan patrol took three steps back and waited. "It's true, Redclaw! Moonfur took me their camp and left me there!" Echokit wailed with dismay. Redclaw looked shocked and looked at Stonestar who nodded, his face unreadable. "Thank you for bringing her home." He mewed softly. Stonestar swept his tail through the air and turned to lead his warriors home. He stopped dead in his tracks as something grabbed onto his tail. His head swung down, his blue eyes locking onto Echokit as she held onto his tail with sharp claws. He chuckled and looked over his shoulder at Echokit. He carefully rounded his tail over to his head and grabbed Echokit gently by her scruff, putting her on the ground in front of him. "Thank you for taking good care of me, Stonestar. I won't forget it in a hurry!" She mewed, her eyes bright with happiness. Stonestar's heart lurched. Was that attachment he felt toward Echokit? Echokit looked at him, and he looked back. He lowered his head, his eyes shooting right, then left, and back on Echokit. "Why don't you give your mother a good whack on the head for me, Echokit, and give a hard time just for me for what she had done." He muttered to Echokit so only she could hear. "I will!" She squeaked. "Now go home, Echokit, with your father." He mewed and nudged her gently toward Redclaw.
Echokit raced toward her father and watched with the MarshClan patrol as Stonestar and his warriors disappeared from sight into the forest beyond. Redclaw took her home and, though she was excited about returning home again, her thoughts drifted to Stonestar. She felt a strong bond between her and the SunClan leader, one she couldn't explain. She shrugged it off as camp came into sight. She wriggled free and bolted into the camp. "I'm back!" She wailed to the camp. Moonfur poked her head out of the warriors' den, her face expressionless, but Echokit could see the panic in her mother's eyes. Redclaw burst into the camp and immediately launched himself Moonfur, pulling her roughly out of the warriors den and pinning her to the ground. "You! How could you do that to my daughter!" He snarled and clawed at Moonfur's exposed belly. She yowled with pain and panic as her mate pinned her to the ground. She didn't have a hope in the world to throw him off. The MarshClan leader rushed out his den to see what was going on. He saw Redclaw on top of Moonfur, teeth bared and claws out. "What is going on!?" He demanded. Redclaw answered before Moonfur could. "Moonfur gave Echokit to SunClan! I met Stonestar headed toward camp with four other warriors. He said that Moonfur had come to him at sunhigh yesterday with Echokit, claiming she didn't know who Echokit was! Echokit and Stonestar's warriors confirmed it." The cats in the clearing gasped with shock.
"Moonfur! Why would you give your only kit to another clan!?" The leader asked. When she didn't answer, the leader drew himself up. "Well then, you are exiled from the clans, all of them! You are not to return. If any cat in MarshClan sees you, they have my permission to chase you away from clan territory. Now begone!" He ordered and Moonfur fled out of the camp. Echokit turned to Echopaw to Echomist. The moons flew by and she met new cats and new friends. Her bond with Stonestar remained strong as she talked and shared tongues with him every gathering she went to. Her newest friend is Eagletalon, who she had developed a crush on. She hunts for him and often gives him gifts, feeling offended and sad when he rejects them. Since then, the MarshClan leader lost his last life, and Redclaw died in a fight against greencough. She still grieves for him.
